These communities are designed to sensitively care for those with Dementia/Alzheimer's or memory related disorders. The communities will vary in size, individual home-like settings will offer more interactive opportunities along with specialized programs.  Residences providing the most care are either secured buildings or a secured unit within the residency that could be called a special care unit. Memory Care communities will work with your loved one to maximize his or her independence and quality of life.
