Subsidized rental communities offer affordable rents to income-qualified seniors and/or persons with handicaps or disabilities.  The maximum allowable income is determined by federally mandated eligibility income limits.  In order to become a resident, most communities require applicants to be at least 62 years old, have handicap or disability.
